Specifiers and contractors need to verify a supplier before they approve one. This page sets out what Saturn Metal is certified for, what it is a member of, and which standards apply to each product family.
A membership and a product certification are not the same thing, and treating them as one is a common way suppliers overstate themselves. Each credential below is labelled by what it actually is.
Industry Membership
ISCA
The Interior Systems Contractors Association represents the drywall and interior systems contractors in Ontario who install our products every day. Membership keeps us close to the trade that uses what we make, and signals industry participation rather than product approval.
Industry Membership
CSSBI Member
The Canadian Sheet Steel Building Institute develops the standards, technical documents and design guidance used across Canadian sheet steel construction, including CSSBI 61:24. Membership keeps our manufacturing aligned with current industry practice.
Product Certification Reference
CSSBI 61:24
Certified through the CISC / ICCA program against CSSBI 61:24, the Canadian standard for light gauge steel framing members. This is the only credential on this page that speaks to the product itself.
Canadian-Made Program
Well Made Here
Well Made Here / Bien fait ici is a Canadian program that identifies products made in Canada. A product line qualifies when at least 51% of its manufacturing costs are incurred in Canada. It marks where a product is made; it is not a performance certification.
Product Certification
What the certification covers.
CSSBI 61:24 sets the requirements for steel grade, coating, dimensions and tolerances on cold-formed steel framing members. Certification through the CISC / ICCA program means an outside body verifies that production meets those requirements, rather than the manufacturer asserting it.
