Product overview
CB-90 corner bead protects and straightens square outside drywall corners. The bead has 1-1/4″ perforated flanges (1-1/8″ also offered) and a rounded nose, in galvanneal steel, which gives joint compound a good surface to grip. It is fastened with nails, screws or a clinching tool, then finished with joint compound over the flanges. CB-90 comes in 8′, 9′, 10′ and 12′ lengths, 25 pieces per carton, and conforms to ASTM C1047. Data sheet DS-17 shows the profile, installation steps and finishing tips.

The flanges are formed a little under square. Pressed onto a 90° corner they open up and spring back against the board, so the bead sits tight before it is fastened.
Galvanneal is zinc-coated steel heat-treated so the zinc alloys with the iron. Its matte surface takes joint compound and paint better than bright galvanized steel.
With nails, screws or a clinch-on tool through the flanges, then finished with joint compound over the flanges.
Use Corner Bead 130° (CB-130), which is formed to fit 135° outside corners.
