Product overview
Composite floor deck forms the floor slab and then works with the concrete as its bottom reinforcement. Embossments in the deck webs bond with the concrete, so once it cures the deck and slab act together. Profiles are 1-1/2″ and 3″ deep, standard or inverted, in 22 to 16 ga, with galvanneal finish as standard. The deck carries the wet concrete and construction loads during the pour, often with temporary shoring, and pour stop forms the slab edges. Deck, slab thickness, spans and reinforcement are set by the structural designer. Data sheet DS-28 shows the profiles, slab sections, concrete volumes and accessories.

During the pour it is the form and carries the wet concrete and construction loads. Once the concrete cures, the embossments in the webs lock the slab to the steel, and the deck acts as the bottom reinforcement of the slab.
Little or no shoring, depending on the span. Deck, slab thickness, spans, shoring and reinforcement are set by the structural designer.
The same sheet laid wide flats down, for a heavier, stiffer slab.
Galvanneal is a matte zinc-iron coating that takes paint and spray fireproofing. G90 is available on request.
