Product overview
Steel roof deck is the ribbed steel sheet that spans between joists or beams to carry a membrane roof and act as a diaphragm. The 1-1/2″ deck has ribs at 6″ with a 36″ cover; the deeper 3″ deck has ribs at 6″, 8″ or 12″ for longer spans. Sheets come in 22 to 16 ga with G90 galvanized or galvanneal finish, in the lengths ordered. Matching accessories include cover plates, ridge and valley plates, flute closures, cant strips and sump pans. Deck profile, gauge, spans and fastening are set by the designer using the load tables for the product on the order. Data sheet DS-26 shows the profiles, laps, fastening plans and accessories.
