Product overview

Faster bridging, consistent connections.

Bridging only works if the channel is tied to the studs. The clip seats over the channel at the knockout and screws to the stud, creating a connection that restrains rotation without cutting and bending pieces on site.

The right clip length depends on the stud depth and the connection detail. Saturn Metal produces 16 gauge clips 1.5″ wide in 3-1/4″, 5-1/2″ and 7-1/2″ lengths for non-load-bearing and load-bearing stud walls, as specified.

 Product FAQ

Before you request pricing.

Answers to common questions about Bridging Clip.

It connects bridging channel to each stud so the channel can restrain stud rotation.

Clip length is matched to the stud depth and connection detail. Send your stud sizes and Saturn Metal will confirm the matching clip.

Yes, where the engineer specifies them for the bridging connection.

Saturn Metal bridging clips are 16 gauge and 1.5″ wide.

Product overview

23 Clips in Four Families: Rigid, Deflection & Bypass, Masonry Veneer and Specialty

Clips and connectors join cold-formed steel framing to itself and to the building. The range has 23 galvanized clips in four families: rigid clips that fix studs and joists with no movement, deflection and bypass clips that let walls stay in line while the structure moves, masonry veneer connectors that tie brick back to the steel stud wall, and specialty clips for scaffold ties, drywall corners, ceiling grids and sound isolation. Each connection is chosen and sized by the project engineer, who sets the clip, fasteners and spacing. Capacities are given per clip on request. Data sheet DS-21 lists every clip with its use, and a guide to choosing a family.

FAQ

Questions Before You Request a Quote.

Find quick answers about product selection, available configurations, installation considerations and ordering details before adding a product to your quote.

Use a deflection clip wherever the floor or roof above can move under load: the head of interior walls, and curtain walls that bypass the slab edge. Use rigid clips where the framing and the structure move together.

A top deflection clip, or slotted deflection track, when the slab above deflects.

A bridging clip or a snap-on bridging clip at every stud, with carrying / bridging channel through the knockouts.

A surface-mount brick tie or an adjustable brick connector, as the design shows.

Yes. Each clip has its own load values, which depend on the clip, the stud thickness and the fasteners. Ask us for the technical data of the clip you are designing with. Every connection is chosen and sized by the design engineer.
