Product overview

Angle/L-Track (Steel Angle)

Angle/L-Track is a 90° galvanized steel angle used to frame bulkheads and soffits, finish ceiling perimeters, wrap columns and act as a light runner or backing. Three sizes cover most work: the popular 1″ × 2″ L-track, 1-1/2″ × 1-1/2″ and 2″ × 2″, in 18 mil (25 ga) with G40 coating and 33 mil (20 ga) with G60 coating, in 10′ lengths. The angle fastens to studs, track and structure with standard framing screws and gives the board a straight edge to land on. Size and thickness follow the span and the load on the angle. Data sheet DS-14 shows the profiles to scale, typical bulkhead, column and ceiling-edge details, and a guide to choosing a size.

Yes. Any legs and any angle can be made to order, from 25 to 12 gauge, up to 12′ long.

It fastens to studs, track and structure with standard framing screws and gives the board a straight edge to land on. Cut it to length on site with snips or a saw.
